Pose au sol de panneaux solaires

The company BNR, located in the Isère department (38), asked us to take over its off-grid electrical installation.

As the company is far from an ENEDIS grid connection point, an off-grid electrical installation is required. This installation previously consisted of a wind turbine backed up by a generator. As the wind turbine had been damaged by bad weather, we proposed installing a photovoltaic solar system.

This installation consists of an array of solar panels mounted on a ballasted galvanised steel frame. The panels are coupled in series pairs for a voltage of 72 V and a current of 9 A.

The downstream side of the installation is protected by a waterproof isolator box located under the panels.

The rest of the installation is housed in a nearby chalet: 4 × 125 Ah 12 V batteries, a VICTRON charge controller, a VICTRON MultiPlus inverter and a VICTRON Color Control panel.

At the end of the installation, we trained the site manager to read the information on the control panel in order to monitor the batteries’ state of charge and keep the system in good condition.
